SAN DIEGO CA - RosArt Multimedia, Inc.(www.rosart.com) is having a hand in bringing live theatre to the Internet, by providing the San Diego-based non-profit Community Actors Theatre (C.A.T.) with a complete web site, which includes online ticket purchasing and regular updates of their play list, on a pro bono basis. The site (www.communityactorstheatre.com) would have cost $30,000 to design and build in its entirety, but RosArt is providing its services completely free of charge. The site was recently debuted at C.A.T.'s 20th Anniversary Celebration, held on August 18, 2002, and the theatre's Founder and Executive Director; Jennie Hamilton honored RosArt with Super Benefactor status.

The Community Actors Theatre was introduced to RosArt through the Business Volunteers for the Arts; of which RosArt is a member; a program designed by the San Diego Performing Arts League to match willing business leaders with arts programs in need of their assistance. C.A.T. is a non-profit, minority-owned theatre located in the Oak Park section of San Diego, which was formed in 1982. It has been responsible for producing and performing over 130 different plays, as well as providing actor training and workshops for a varied audience for the past 20 years.

RosArt is also coordinating with the BVA to form a committee that will create business plans, marketing plans and grant proposals for programs that need them. "We are pleased and proud to be connected in a vital way with the performing arts community. 'Do what you can, with what you have, where you are,' is the ideal we try to live by," said Mr. Rosa.
